
BBQ COOK-OFF INFORMATION
It’s almost that time again. Here’s what’s on the menu for the Powell Family Memorial BBQ Cook-off.
Mains: Pork Ribs and Chicken Quarters.
Sides: Mac n Cheese or Baked Beans.
- You will be judged by our panel of 3 on both main dishes and one side of your choosing.
- All cooking must be done on the grill and on-site.
- Our judges will be checking on all registered contestants.
Entry: Pit Pass is your entry.
Registration is at the tech shed on Saturday, the 18th at noon. Registration is mandatory.
Turn-in time: 3 pm at the Powell Family’s camping area in our campground outside of turn number 2.
Prizes: if you win a main dish category, you will receive a Recteq Pellet Smoker. We are still working on the side category.
How will the judges judge? Primarily based on taste, but we also consider presentation.
We will provide teams with Styrofoam to-go plates for presentation.
TRASH TALK IS MANDATORY
Judges must remain anonymous due to past attempts at bribery.
